Crispy Potato and Red Pepper Patty Burgers - Aloo Burger Recipe - Homemade Simple Burgers

First of all a big, big thank you to all my readers, for enabling me to post 50 recipes till now on my blog. More than anything else, this blog is the culmination of all the hours, days, and years I have spent in learning the nuances of cooking. So, a big thank you for all your support. It really means a lot!

Sharing another favorite breakfast/snack recipe of kids and youth alike. The homemade burgers. I have been making these ever since I started to learn cooking and started eating them even before the invasion of MacDonald's and Burger King's in our lives. Very simple recipe with the least amount of preparation, yet a crowd and party pleasing recipe, which never fails! so, let's start cooking...

Ingredients (you will need):
Potatoes, boiled and peeled - 3
Red Bell Pepper, chopped - 1/2 cup
Salt, to taste
Black Pepper Powder, 1/2 tsp
Red chili flakes, 1/2 tsp
Roasted Peanuts, crushed - 1 tbsp
Semolina/Sooji, 1 tbsp
Oil/ghee, for frying
Burger buns, 6

Cooking steps:
1. In a bowl, mix together mashed potatoes, crushed peanuts, finely chopped red pepper, salt, red chili flakes, and black pepper powder. 

2. Mix everything together and divide the mixture into 6 equal portions. Place the divided balls/patties into fridge for 10 minutes.

3. Next in a plate take 1 tbsp of semolina and roll the burger patties to lightly coat the patties.

4. In a pan/wok take 1 tbsp oil and shallow fry the patties on both sides till they are golden brown.

5. Lightly roast the burger buns (I have used pao buns as my kid loves them) on a tawa/skillet.

6. Assemble the burger by placing the patty between the roasted bread. You may use veggies of your choice on the roasted buns. I have not used anything here.

7. Serve the burger with the choice of condiments as per your family/friend's preferences. Here, I have served the burgers with tomato ketchup.
